Come to the Renaissance Group's Annual Action Day on November 21st at Marsden Junior School, and find out more about the recent Village Centre Enhancement consultation, learn about and get involved in a project to develop a Community Owned High Speed Fibre Network for the Colne Valley (see www.colnevalleyfibre.net for more on this), and get clued in to a whole range of other local projects.

The event is free and open to all and includes lunch. There is also a free creche and a really rather exciting young people's workshop running all day too. (The creche and young people's workshop must be booked in advance)

Draft Programme:

• 10.00 am: welcome, coffee.
• 10.15 am: Presentation of proposals for the Village Centre Enhancements
• 11.30 am: Brief presentations from local organisations (including the Green Valley Grocer, MYAC, MASTT)
• 12.15 pm: Q&A, and a brief introduction to the afternoon sessions
• 1.00 pm: Lunch
• 1.30 - 3.00: Workshop/seminar on next generation broadband with the Colne Valley Fibre project
• 2.00 - 2.45: Renaissance project updates (run in parallel with the broadband session)
• Renaissance annual general meeting
