This year's "report back" and annual general meeting will be held at the Slaithwaite Community Centre, Bank Gate (just next to St. James' Church) from 10.30 am on Saturday November 22.

Programme

10.30: Registration and refreshments.

11.00: Welcome and Introductions

11.10: "Learning from Castleford": Building on the recently shown Channel 4 series "Kevin's Big Town Plan" that looked at the challenges and successes of regenerating Castleford, we are very pleased to welcome to the Colne Valley several of the key people involved in the project to talk about their experience and enable Marsden and Slaithwaite to learn from it. This promises to be a hugely inspiring session.

12.30: Lunch (free)

1.10: Project updates: A fast paced hour looking at what's been happening on some of the many projects that the Marsden and Slaithwaite Renaissance team have been working on over the last year.

2.10: Tea - and a chance to learn more about local projects from the displays, and the people leading the various projects.

2.30: Launch of the Marsden & Slaithwaite Dragon's Den competition.

2.45: Annual General Meeting: Brief, to the point, and an opportunity to get more involved. For more information about joining the steering group, download a copy of the 2008 election pack (PDF, 1.7MB).

3.00: end
